LEAP HR Life Sciences Conference

Last week I had the privilege of moderating the LEAP HR Life Sciences Conference in Boston where we heard from some of the leading practitioners in the field.  I also had the chance to reconnect with old colleagues and make some great new connections!

Here are a few things that stood out for me:

๐Ÿ‘‰The importance of being courageous and standing up for your culture, even when things are challenging.  I particularly liked the concept of giving employees โ€œchoice with responsibility.โ€  Thank you Ashley SardjoeKim Hazen, and Rosette Cataldo.

๐Ÿ‘‰Kara ClarkeDan Gold (dan@fcgsearch.com)Stephen Dwight, and Jen Royal-Fitch reminded us to not overlook the talent that we have in our organizations today.  Sometimes taking a chance on someone can really payoff – for everyone – down the line.

๐Ÿ‘‰ I think James MusiaSerena Filson, and Kelley Gramolini have had the hardest jobs being in compensation these last few years!  I really appreciated hearing about how they have built partnerships, particularly with finance, to deliver innovative compensation solutions.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Vinnie Garufi shared some really interesting lessons learned from leading the largest integration in biotech/pharma history!  If you need a playbook, give him a call.

๐Ÿ‘‰Floss AggreyNoi Keothammakhoun, and Saraswathy (Sara) Nochur gave us some very practical approaches for advancing DEI initiatives, including how to connect this work to business outcomes.

๐Ÿ‘‰I loved hearing how Lauren Rusckowski Duprey and Rebecca Port, PhD have taken scientific and data-driven approaches to implementing wellbeing and happiness initiatives in their organizations.  Very cool stuff!

I also learned that the need for leadership coaching is as strong as ever and how the most innovative HR leaders are finding creative ways for leaders at all levels of their organizations to have access to personalized coaching.  Makes me really excited for the path that Iโ€™ve chosen with Andy Porter Leadership Coaching!

Looking forward to the conference next year!!
